Airport Perimeter Security
Airport perimeters generally encompass a large area that can be difficult to monitor and protect. The Guard Tower access control and intrusion detection system can identify the precise breach location and easily integrates with CCTV camera systems. This allows a security guard in a central command post monitoring the perimeter to know exactly where the breach is and, when integrated with a CCTV system, to visually verify the cause of the alarm.
Airport Access Control Systems
In some parts of the world, airport perimeter security requirements are changing. While most airport access control systems typically will have an existing fence or barrier already in place, it may no longer satisfy new height regulations or may be insufficient given higher threat levels. The patent pending Guard Tower® intrusion detection system can easily be retrofit to an existing fence or barrier, increasing the height requirements without having to tear down and replace an existing barrier. The Guard Tower system is available in 1/3 metre (1-foot) increments, up to 3.6 metres (12- feet). With heightened security requirements, the Guard Tower’s intrusion detection capability and ability to pinpoint a precise breach location makes it ideal for enhanced perimeter protection.
Security Gates and Electric Fencing
Because airports are often on the outskirts of the city, wildlife and animal control can become problematic. Traditional gates and fences often prove inadequate for the airport security required to keep planes and passengers safe.
The Induced Pulse® perimeter protection system is an electric fence system that combines a barrier with a shock deterrent. This is particularly effective with animals and wildlife which learn to respect the fence. It is ideal for airports or high security installations. A variety of access control options are also available.
