Safegate International is a global company with the purpose to secure the performance of airports worldwide. The main objective is to improve the efficiency and safety in operation, control and handling of aircraft on the ground. By using new, sophisticated technical solutions for guidance and docking systems Safegate contribute to the overall safety and efficiency of airports. This in turn enhances your airport's capacity of safely handling more aircraft movements. It also saves the environment by keeping the airplane less on the ground and subsequently lowering greenhouse gas emissions.
Docking Guidance System
The Safedock Advanced Visual Docking Guidance System automatically guides an aircraft during its approach to the stand in a safe and time saving way. Safegate has delivered the Safedock to airports all over the world during the last 35 years. In 1995 Safegate introduced the Safedock with a laser based system and it is today the industry standard. The laser system can safely dock all known aircraft with a stopping precision of just 10 cm. The Safedock improves gate utilization and apron capacity every time it is used.
Gate Operating System
The Gate Operating System serves as an invaluable complement to the Safedock A-VDGS as it minimizes disturbances and interruptions at the gates. The system incorporates visual guidance of each aircraft, ensuring it gets to the right gate, and central monitoring ensuring that everything goes according to plan. Once the aircraft is in its correct position the loading and unloading process can be carried out quickly and safely. With GOS the airport staff gets a better overview and can monitor every event as well as perform centralized maintenance of the docking system.
SafeControl - Control System for Airfield Lighting
In order to achieve maximum safety and control over today's increased air traffic flow, a highly effective system for the guidance and control of surface movements on airfields is needed. SafeControl offers complete status control of the airfield lighting system. This increases safety as well as operational efficiency by providing decision support and automation of the operational procedures. An intuitive interface using ASP provides real time status for the control and monitoring of the airfield ground lighting with individual lamp monitoring, stop bar control and taxiway guidance. The system also provides updated positions for specific aircraft.
Airfield Lighting
The Safegate Group's AFL makes airfield lighting more cost-efficient through versatility and simplified maintenance. Safegate Group's range of airfield light fixtures represents excellent quality and performance, and is made to withstand extreme stress and difficult weather conditions. Safegate deliver lead on, lead in, stop bar and taxiway intersection bar lighting applications. Due to the advanced design, the light fixture's photometric performance exceeds the ICAO standards and the recommended standards for CAT I, II and III operating conditions.
Airfield Smart Power
The Safegate ASP system makes ground movement safer and faster while visually complementing the verbal communication between tower and pilots. The system makes individual monitoring and selective switching of airfield lights possible, without separate cables. It allows handling an increasing traffic volume at the airport even in low visibility. Red stop bars and green taxiway lights give the pilot comprehensive signals about which direction to follow and whether a stop is necessary. At the same time, the tower gets feedback about the aircraft's position from strategically located sensors. ASP can be installed within the airfield's existing lighting system, making installation fast and cost effective.
