Building Information Modeling BIM

Building Information Modeling, or BIM, from Fat Sumo offers an intelligent solution to the creation of 3D models for proposed buildings or facilities. This complex technology is ideal for mapping how proposed plans will look by virtually building the construction as closely as possible to the real thing.

Fat Sumo's Building Information Modeling service is used to depict the lifecycle of a building project from the initial concept design right up to the final construction stages. This allows the client to see exactly how the facility will operate once completed.

Collision checking is possible with Building Information Modeling through the use of additional models such as a structural engineer consultant model. This will assess if there are any potential issues and combat these before construction even begins, saving time and money. Environmental assessment is also a possibility with BIM through the calculation of solar cell positioning or the amount of insulation to use. All data can be exported into requested file types.

Building Information Modeling will turn a 2D CAD drawing or hand drawn sketch into a 3D model. The software is intelligently designed to allow easy alteration of models, any change made in the floor plan will be automatically adopted by all other views.

Computer Generated Images CGI

Computer Generated Image services from Fat Sumo are a truly innovative way to display a conceptual or proposed site, building or facility. A variety of Computer Generated Images are available:

Building Animation

Fat Sumo offer three categories for their high quality building animations. The animations provide an impressive platform in which to display any building, facility or site from an Airport terminal to hotel complex.

The first category of building animation is 'I Wanted It Yesterday', a fast turnaround project for clients which need to empress with a last minute scheme. The animations are not highly detailed but will include moving objects such as cars or people.

Second is the 'Wow Look At That' category with a much higher level of detail due to the CGI and film effects such as rain or actors. This type of building animation is designed to truly impress.

The final category is the 'Walkthrough' a simple building animation without any effects, movement or music for a clear depiction of the site in question.
