BLIP Systems offers cutting-edge technology within passenger tracking solutions for airports to optimize the management of visitors, processes and space. BlipTrack™ consists of passenger Queue and Flow monitoring, measurement and management. The solution also allows integration to signs/website – so passengers will be informed of the waiting times, allowing the airports to provide an improved passenger service.

BLIP Systems began in 1999 with a group of people, working as specialist within Bluetooth activities at Ericsson, Denmark. In 2003, a MBO of Bluetooth activities was completed and today it is a privately held company that delivers solutions based on production of hardware and software now BlipZones™ and BlipTrack™.

Airport Queue Management

(BlipTrack™ Queue Module)

The innovative yet well proven technology - BlipTrack™ Queue Module provides precise real-time data for airport queue management.  Data collected includes queue and dwell times on pre-set paths (such as security, passport control, check-in, baggage checking, immigration, parking, etc).  Data is collected by tracking the mobile phone of the passengers via Bluetooth. It is a secure and non-intrusive system, providing a service for the passengers while giving data to the airport.

Airport Passenger Flow

( BlipTrack™ Flow Module)

Documentation of passenger movement patterns is crucial to greater efficiency, when planning and optimizing the position of airport retail outlets, gates and services. With the BlipTrack™ Flow Module, airport management gains vital statistical information about the time spent by passengers - area by area and shop by shop, from check-in to boarding.

Capacity Issues

Gain knowledge about how visitors move within the airport to optimize capacity. Know when and where the load of visitors on particular areas exceeds limits and use this knowledge to re-organize signing and area layout. Use existing resources efficiently and save cost of expanding facilities.

Optimize Shopping

Hardware Implemented (BlipNodes)

BLIP Systems is a respected specialist in its field and produce both hardware and software on site at the headquarters. The hardware unit (BlipNode L2i) is a small and intelligent access point, which connects through to a central server. The range of the BlipNode is adjustable and the BlipNode L2i has 3 Bluetooth 2.1 + EDR antennas and supports 3G/HSDPA via USB dongle.  This particular hardware unit, the BlipNode L2i, is installed in more than 32 countries.

BLIP Systems is based in Denmark and with years of experience, reference cases includes Copenhagen Airport, Manchester Airport, Brussels Airport and Oslo Airport. Recently a project was completed in Shiphol airport, where a new innovative project is about to commence.
