Protectaseal Ltd Aircraft, Airport and Luggage Security Seals

Protectaseal is a UK based company, supplying a wide range of tamper evident security labels and tapes for airports, airlines and the aerospace industry as a whole. Established in 1994, Protectaseal continues to be seen as a market leader in their field, providing security solutions to more than 40 aerospace clients around the globe.
Protectaseal offers a variety of adhesives to suit customers needs including permanent, low residue and dry peel adhesives. Protectaseal can accommodate any design, but the more detailed and intricate the images, the harder it is to see the void message. They can also incorporate barcodes and numbers with corresponding tear off strips if required.
Aircraft Door Security Seals
If an aircraft is to remain overnight (RON), certain checks and procedures must be carried out. Once these have been satisfied the aircraft must be attended at all times, unless it is secure.
All access points that are reachable from ground level, without needing additional equipment must have aircraft door security seals. Each of these are tamper evident and numbered, so that each seal can be individually and uniquely identified, controlled, and accounted for.
Protectaseal’s range of aircraft door security seals use a low residue adhesive and leave no sticky residue behind. Each aircraft is allocated a roll of security seals with sequential numbers, making it easier to determine if they have been tampered with, if there is a discrepancy with the numbering.
Missing aircraft door security seal numbers can create a major security breach, creating a substantial loss for the airline. Protectaseal can print any number sequence, including special prefix’s or alphabetical characters. Protectaseal ensure they account for and record any missing numbers on sequential seals. However due to the potential security risk, Protectaseal also offer an alternative to restart printing from any given point in the sequence.
UV Tamper Evident Labels
Some of the larger airlines were finding that people were tampering with the life vests from aircrafts and checking every seat after every flight was proving very time consuming.
Protectaseal's UV tamper evident labels are placed over the covers to the life vests to help determine if they have been tampered with.
As the UV tamper evident Label only reacts with an ultraviolet light, to the naked eye it just looks like normal sticky tape. When security checks are being undertaken on the aircraft the ultraviolet light is shone under the seats to determine if the life vest have been interfered with, reducing the time it takes to check the aircraft, saving the airline time and money.
Apart from the life vest being tampered with, these labels can be used on all internal panels (i.e inside the W.C’s), to signify that someone has hidden an object inside and creating a possible security breach.
Luggage Security Seals
When passengers travel, one of their major fears is their valuables being removed from their luggage.

Protectaseal's luggage security seals can be added to the wrapping placed around luggage. The customer will then be given the tear off strip with the corresponding number, which they would then check once they have collected their luggage.
If the seal has been tampered with there will be a void message across it or if the luggage security seal has been replaced with a new label the customer's tear off strip will not correspond with the new label.
Duty Free Tamper Evident Tape
When purchasing duty free many items such as alcohol, perfume, and cosmetics, are in sizes that are normally prohibited by the TSA. If you purchase the items in the airport terminal, then take a nonstop flight to your destination there should be no problem.
Protectaseal's duty free tamper evident tape is ideally suited for customers changing aircrafts during their journey as they may have to go through security again. The duty free tamper evident tape will signify to security staff that the item has not been manipulated in any way.
