LAX Tops Facebook Airport Check-In Status Survey

A Facebook survey has judged Los Angeles International Airport the most ‘social' in the world, with more users posting it as a location status than any other hub.
The social networking site placed LAX at the top of a list of 20 airports which also included London Heathrow, Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta and Dallas/Fort Worth. The information was collected from all users of Facebook and other services who posted up airport check-in updates between August 2010 and November 2011.
Within the top 20 list, US airports claimed the topmost five slots, with Sydney Airport - at number seven - the first listed international airport.

"We're excited to receive this recognition and are committed to ensuring these sites remain relevant and valuable to our travelers and fans", Los Angeles World Airports' Lindsey added.
