A Navaid (Navigational Aid) is a marker, or other device. Generally used for ship and aircraft navigation, the term includes NDB, V.O.R., GPS and LORAN radio beacons. The term Navaid can also refer to onboard navigational instruments such as an aircraft's instrument landing system.
