Digital Video Recorder Solutions

Wavelet Technology is an international supplier of digital video recorders (DVR) for CCTV monitoring & surveillance. The Wavestore product range integrates extensive management systems that deliver the range of features and benefits demanded by today’s sophisticated applications.

Wavestore comprises of a real-time audio/video recording system that can interface to access controls, alarms and control systems to provide high integrity monitoring of all areas of interest. Operating on the LINUX platform, Wavestore never stops recording, whilst simultaneously providing high-speed find, view, transmit and archive functions.

Excellent image quality is achieved through the combination of proprietary high-speed digital hardware, providing up to 50 pictures per second (pps) per camera on all cameras, using wavelet compression technology.

A single Wavestore unit can provide up to 20 individual camera control and recording functions, however the Linux design enables multiple Wavestore units to be easily networked together to support hundreds of users and thousands of cameras.

The combination of an open software platform (LINUX) and Wavestore’s hardware and software development road map permits an installation to be upgraded and expanded to achieve a projected ten-year life span.

The Wavestore design uses LINUX OS because of its rugged and reliable software code, and the Wavelet compression algorithm because it provides incorruptible frame-by-frame image capture.
