The Verona Airport is strategically located in Northern Italy and serves an area with a social and economic development among Europe’s highest: Italy’s North-east is, in fact, a model of development recognised throughout the world.

The provinces of Brescia, Mantua, Vicenza, Trento, Bolzano, Rovigo and Verona overall account for over 12% of the Gross Domestic Product. The area served by Catullo Airport, also significant for its tourist industry, accommodates international tourism drawn in by cultural prospects, sports, events as well as the attractions of nature, wine and food.

During the year 2003 Verona airport handled 2.4 million passengers (more than 40,000 flights), confirming its international position.

The Verona Airport has a terminal of 15,000 sq.m. A new 6,500 sq.m. arrivals terminal will be built by 2004, and the current building will be converted in a departures terminal. The new aircraft maintenance hangar has now been finished and it’s available for rent; it has an area of 7,500 sq.m. equipped with three bridge cranes and it can house two medium sized aircraft (MD80, A320).

Technical features: Aircraft parking apron of 90,000 sq.m. with 26 stands; take-off/landing runway of 3000 m, ILS IIIB; new requalified taxiway parallel to runway.
