Verdugt supplies the worlds airport industry with a range of organic salts designed to ensure required friction on traffic operational surfaces, through the prevention of ice and snow build-up, in a safe and environmentally responsible manner.

Over the years Clearway has grown into one of the most widely used runway deicers, marketed in Europe, Asia and the Americas.

All Clearway products are environmentally friendly and readily biodegradable. Clearway products are approved to the latest AMS standards, and have also been approved by several independent institutes over the years. Clearway products have successfully replaced Urea and Glycol-based products. By doing so, problems related to nitrogen effluents are eliminated, oxygen demand will be significantly reduced and collection and water treatment will no longer be necessary.

Experience gained at various airports shows that Clearway products melts ice and snow more rapidly than any other deicers currently on the market. Clearway also provides advice on the use of the products, as well as training sessions to each customers requirements.

  • Clearway 1 is a potassium acetate based liquid runway deicer. It was the first environmentally friendly deicer in Europe, introduced in 1987, and is now one of the most commonly used Runway Deicers in Europe.
  • Clearway 3 is an enhanced potassium acetate based liquid runway deicer. The viscosity and density of the product is higher than for Clearway 1, resulting in longer hold-over time.
  • Clearway F5 is a potassium formate based liquid runway deicer. Clearway F5 is developed from the experiences with Clearway F1, which has been sold to European airports for a number of years.
  • Clearway 6s is a sodium acetate based solid runway deicer. Due to the purity of this product, it contains no corrosion inhibitors. Clearway 6s has been especially developed to show all benefits of sodium acetate based solid deicers, while eliminating the storage stability issues related to such products in the past.
  • Clearway 8s is a sodium acetate based solid runway deicer. Due to the purity of this product, it contains no corrosion inhibitors
