Aircraft Torque Wrenches
Norbars, Aircraft Torque Wrenches are commonly used by the aircraft industry and are respected for their accuracy and durability. They are designed to be comfortable to use and completely resistant to aggressive hydraulic fluids. Unlike other brands common in the aircraft industry, there is minimal wear of internal components even after many thousands of tightening cycles and when adjustment is required, this can normally be achieved without complete disassembly or replacement of internal parts.
Aircraft Torque Measurement Equipment
Norbar’s, Aircraft Torque Measurement Equipment is used in a variety of environments throughout the industry. A common approach is to use our robust but accurate “Professional Torque Tester” in the hangers or tool cribs and the more sophisticated, multi transducer “Torque Tool Tester” system in the laboratory. Several airlines have gone a stage further than this and also use Norbar’s calibration beams so that they can calibrate their own torque testers, giving them complete independence and control in torque measurement.
Aircraft Torque Multipliers
Where the desired torques cannot be achieved using a traditional torque wrench, Norbar supply a huge range of precision torque multipliers, both hand operated and powered. Realising that clearances on aircraft are often very tight, Norbar designed the HT-52 torque multiplier, currently the most compact 1000 N.m torque multiplier available. For safety critical applications, most Norbar torque multipliers can be fitted with a torque transducer for precise monitoring of the applied torque.
Norbars Capabilities & Certification
Norbar can provide back up and service to our products via our branches in the UK, Australia, USA, Singapore, New Zealand and Shanghai. In most countries where we do not have a branch, service is provided by Norbar trained distributors.
Norbar have calibration laboratories accredited to national standards in the UK (UKAS), Australia (NATA), USA (NVLAP) and Singapore (SAC-SINGLAS). A torque laboratory in Shanghai will be opened in early 2008.
Through these laboratories and our distributors, Norbar can provide global support to our products unmatched in the torque tool and instrument industry.
