Honeywell Imaging and Mobility (formerly Hand Held Products) is one of the world's leading manufacturers of handheld barcode scanners, mobile computers, transaction terminals and barcode verifiers for data collection and automatic identification. Hand Held Products was acquired by Honeywell International Inc. in December 2007. Hand Held is now a new line of business, called Honeywell Imaging and Mobility, within Honeywell's Security Group. The company manufactures a range of data collection and communication products designed for mobile, on-site, and transaction processing in transportation, logistics, retail, healthcare, utilities, and industry. At airports, the devices are used for example for access control, tracking and tracing, check-in, and boarding.
GPS Mobile Computers
The Dolphin 7900 mobile computer is available with integrated Global Positioning System (GPS) technology. This makes the 7900 a true industrial-grade GPS-enabled mobile data collection solution which excels against any other device with GPS capabilities on the market. The 7900 with GPS is purpose-built for transportation, field mobility and route accounting applications. Its high-performance GPS architecture provides fast and accurate location-based information for navigation services, mobile asset tracking, tracking and tracing and documentation of field service or visitation.
The Dolphin 7900's multi-mode wireless connectivity -- GSM/GPRS, WLAN and Bluetooth -- provides real-time voice and data communication. When combined with GPS, this enables real-time tracking and management of field-based assets. Powered by Adaptus® Imaging Technology 5.0, the Dolphin 7900 can read linear and 2D barcodes, plus capture digital images and signatures.
Image Kiosk 8560/8570
Self-service Image Kiosk™8560/8570 scans barcodes and allows users to 
check information in real time. The revolutionary device allows a multitude of applications within the manufacturing, transportation and retail sectors, making it unique in the market. Users benefit from its self-service customer access, Windows CE integration, and real time communication whilst maintaining a low cost of ownership. The Image Kiosk™ 8560 is powered by Adaptus Imaging Technology 5.0 and Windows CE 5.0 operating system.
Transporters and airport professionals can control the access for example to lounges and enables users to check the status of their frequent flyer programme or receive targeted promotions. It can also be used at the check-in counters or departure halls to read 2D barcodes on boarding passes, or to display information and maps.
2D Handheld Barcode Scanners
The 4000 2D series of handheld tethered and cordless barcode scanners delivers the same reliability and durability as linear scanners - with the enhanced functionality and value that 2D imagers can provide. The scanners can read virtually any linear or 2D barcode, and have the ability to capture digital photos for electronic signature capture, paperless document processing and other applications. Thanks to their versatility, the 4000 2D series brings you affordable, future-ready solutions for a broad range of uses. At airports, the 2D scanners can quickly and easily read the pdf or 2D barcodes on boarding passes, omni-directionally, without the need to align the scanner with the barcode.
