Wingaway is a partnership formed in 1986 to handle the bird control products originally developed by Qualex in co-operation with MAFF (now DEFRA). The bird deterrent systems have been developed to play the most effective bird alarm cries for a variety of scenarios.

The original Electronic Bird Repeller development was the fully automatic Pole Model required within the Agricultural and Waste Industry. Wingaway was formed as a separate company to focus on providing specialist bird deterrent devices to the aviation industry.

Wingaway also designs and manufactures specialist equipment to protect large factory sites and commercial facilities.

Airport Bird Control

Airport Bird ControlWingaway provide airport bird control solutions such as the transferable vehicle unit used to change the bird scarer from vehicle to vehicle quickly. The unit sits on the passenger seat or floor taking its power from the cigarette lighter. The speakers are held on the roof or bonnet with strong magnetic bases. We also provide a Vehicle Installation Unit for larger airports with a dedicated bird control vehicle. It is permanently wired in and the speakers are usually fitted to a roof bar.

Bird Deterrent Systems

Partner Hand Held Electronic Bird RepellerThe most versatile bird deterrent devices produced by Wingaway are the Partner hand held units, which are operated via a trigger mechanism. These avian dissuader devices are carried as either a backup to the vehicle unit, or often used in environmental situations to clear out roosts where a concentrated effort is needed.

Bird Scarer

The original bird scarer development designed to play the bird alarm calls fully automatically in random short bursts as needed for effective scaring. Known as the Pole Model it is normally 12v battery operated but a transformer for mains unit is available.
