DABICO (Europe) manufacture an extensive range of Aircraft Service Pits, Aircraft Maintenance Pits, Airport underfloor solutions, and solutions for fixed aircraft utility systems for use in new airport construction at aircraft parking positions whether at passenger terminal buildings, remote stands, or in aircraft maintenance (MRO) facilities.  Our range includes pits for aviation fuel hydrant systems, vault access covers, aircraft electrical ground power supply (400 Hz / 28 V DC), aircraft cabin air-conditioning (PCA), potable water systems, pop-up pits, and aircraft hangar utility systems.  In addition DABICO can also supply an extensive range of 400 Hz fixed installation (feeder) cables, and PCA hoses and ducts.  All DABICO pit products are provided with one hand lift (12-14KG) aluminium, aircraft load rated (tested to 90 ton), and waterproof covers. 

Aviation Fuel Hydrant Pit

Our range of equipment solutions for Aviation Fuel Hydrant Pit systems includes:

  • Environmental (two-piece) and one-piece hydrant pit boxes suitable for housing API hydrant pit valves, or high point vent/low point drain equipment.  Pit boxes are manufactured in fibreglass (GRP) or fabricated steel.  Complete with one hand lift hinged lids providing a 457mm (18inch) diameter opening.  Hydrant pit boxes are provided with removable cover frames to provide 600mm (24inch) diameter maintenance access.
  • Military fuel hydrant pits, and rolling cover pits to MIL-SPEC.
  • Prefabricated isolation valve pits complete with one hand lift (12KG) aircraft load rated covers, pipework, ladders, platforms etc.
  • One hand lift aluminium aircraft load rated waterproof access covers for installation into the roof of a concrete pit.
  • Fire-safe under hydrant riser shut-off ball valve, for connection to API hydrant pit valve, compact design, to enable easy operation from ground level.
  • Leak detection and cathodic protection test chambers - designed to house test points, easily accessible at ground level with aircraft load rated covers.

Aircraft Vault Access Covers & Valve Isolation Pits

DABICO Aircraft vault access covers are one hand lift, aircraft load rated, and waterproof.  Requiring only a 12 KG lift weight to open our range of covers provide quick and easy access to underground vaults or chambers.  Covers are torsion actuated or counterweight.  Cover openings range from 965mm by 965mm up to 1041mm by 1905mm.  A complete range of ancillary equipment is available including DAB-1216-XHL one-rung ladder/extension handrail assembly (to enable safe pit entry and egress), safety post and chain assembly, and removable grating platforms.

Aircraft Power Supply Equipment Pits (400 Hz / 28 V DC) & Cable Systems

Our Single or dual Aircraft Power Supply Equipment Pit and Cable Systems comes complete with output cables, junction boxes, and roller guides, supplied totally pre-assembled to ensure easy on-site installation.  No above grade obstructions when in use.  Waterproof design prevents entry of both surface fluids, and surrounding ground water.  Full range of prefabricated pits available for all civil and military aircraft requirements including A380 (4 x 90 kVA).  In addition we can also supply 400 Hz fixed installation (feeder) cables which are halogen free, flame retardant, and low smoke.

Pop-Up Pits

The pop-up pit system is used for housing service outlets such as 400 Hz aircraft power supply cable, PCA duct, or potable water hose, additionally if used in aircraft maintenance facilities it can also house 50 (60) Hz outlets, compressed air, and water connections.  The service column retracts into the pit when not in use but when extended provides convenient and easy access to service outlets.  The service column is pre-wired and can be supplied in either a totally prefabricated pit system or for installation into a concrete chamber.  

Cabin Air-conditioning Pits (PCA)

Prefabricated Cabin Air-Conditioning Pit systems come complete with output hoses, pipework, condensate drains etc supplied totally pre-assembled to ensure easy on-site installation.  No above grade obstructions when in use.  Full range of pit solutions available for both centralised and point-of-use systems including replacement PCA ducting.  

Potable Water Pits

Our Pre-assembled Portable Water Pit housing retractable water hose reels, or hose connections, complete with supply and return pipework.  Supplied in a totally prefabricated pit with a one hand lift, waterproof, aircraft load rated cover.  

Hangar Service Pits

Combination Hangar Service Pits or hatch pits house multiple service outlets to provide readily available power, air, and water.  Suitable for installation in new or existing hangar facilities service pits can be connected to a gallery system or installed directly into the ground.
