The BAA Aviation Photo Library is a rapidly expanding, specialist collection of airport and aviation images.
The library offers images of generic airport and aviation life, including: aircraft, aerial views, biometrics, cargo, construction, runways, security, retail, environment and transport.
We are also able to offer exclusive 'behind the scenes' imagery of all BAA’s seven UK airports: Heathrow Airport (including the new Heathrow Terminal 5 development), Gatwick Airport, Stansted Airport, Glasgow Airport, Edinburgh Airport and Aberdeen Airport.
In addition, we have a creative section that provides enhanced airport and aviation images to ensure your publications have impact.
Heathrow Airport Photos
The BAA Photo Library offers an exclusive range of images of Heathrow that includes new developments such as Terminal 5 and the new Control Tower designed by Richard Rogers Partnership. The content also covers all aspects of airport life at the world’s busiest international airport from check-in, transport, passengers, and security through to more unusual areas such as the animal reception centre.
Heathrow Terminal 5 Photos
Heathrow's much-anticipated Terminal 5 will open on 27 March 2008. We have had exclusive access to the Terminal 5 project and hold the most comprehensive collection of Terminal 5 photos available on the web. The content covers the history of Terminal 5 from foundations to the finished build.
Gatwick Airport Photos
Gatwick celebrates its 50th Anniversary in 2008. Gatwick is the busiest single runway airport in the world, our collection includes images of the recently completed ‘Pier 6 passenger bridge’ a unique project for the UK, the bridge spans a live aircraft taxiway and is high enough for aircraft the size of a Boeing 747-400 to pass underneath. Gatwick has two terminals - North Terminal and South Terminal. Our archive covers life at both terminals.
Stansted Airport Photos
The library has a creative collection of Stansted Airport photos. The main terminal building has a very recognisable design by Foster + Partners and our photographers have captured that stylish architecture.
Stansted continues to improve and enhance its facilities, a new bus station has recently been built and the terminal building is currently being extended for a second time. Our collection covers all these aspects as well as the day-to-day operations of a busy UK airport.
Aircraft Photos
Our collection includes an excellent range of aircraft photos including aircraft taking-off, landing, in-flight and taxiing. In addition to generic aircraft images we cover photos of specific airlines such as British Airways, Ryanair and Easyjet as well as cargo aircraft and iconic aircraft like the new Airbus A380 and Concorde.
Airport Life Photos
The library covers many aspects of life around BAA’s airports. From passengers and airport workers, buses and trains, arrivals and departures, check-in and security, airfield operations and ground crew.
Our photographers have produced some highly creative contemporary airport and aviation images that have helped clients embellish their publications.
