Airport Surface Friction Tester (ASFT)

Airport Surface Friction Tester (ASFT) is a world leading manufacturer and supplier of Continuous Friction Measuring Equipment (CFME). ASFT products are today being used at commercial and military airports in all corners of the world with aviation authorities from more then 46 countries as its clients.

ASFT offers both trailer based, and different integrated CFME. ASFT have also since May 20th, 1991 manufactured the original Saab CFME. ASFT was at that time, approached by Saab Automobile AB and General Motors (GM) to manufacture and market the Saab CFME. This was a challenge that ASFT took on with great success. It also ensured the continued production and survival of the Saab CFME. The trailer based CFME does not require any special installation or dedicated towing-vehicle. This gives the trailer unmatched flexibility since any towing vehicle can be used with out prior installation. The operating system for both the integrated and trailer based CFME prints out reports in regionally defined format, e.g. CAP683 /, CAA, ICAO / FAA etc.

ASFT have their own Research & Development (R&D), and production plant. This has resulted in products of unmatched quality and life-expectancy (Average ASFT friction tester is being used for 20 years). Independent research and testing have also concluded that ASFT CFME have among the best repeatability and correlation in the industry.

ASFT also offers service, training, spare parts, and consultant projects to aviation authorities around the world. For more detailed information about ASFT and their products please visit their website at www.asft.se
