“Cat’s i” pair delivers HD content hundreds of feet from source New Milford, CT, June 12, 2007 – Magenta Research, the recognized leader in video, audio and serial signal distribution and switching over UTP cable and fiber optics, announces that it will be demonstrating their first HDMI-compatible extender at InfoComm ’07 in Anaheim, California, June 19-21.
The new product is called “Cat’s i”
Referring to it’s use of two Category cables to transmit content in the High Definition Multimedia Interface, or HDMI, format from the source to the display device, such as a monitor or projector.
Fully compatible with the HDCP content protection protocol, Cat’s i powered transmitter and receiver units deliver 720p and 1080i HD video plus audio to 300 feet (91 meters) and 1080p HD video plus audio to 150 ft. (46 meters).
