Project Management
The management of Turnkey projects covering a wide range of airport equipment, including navigation systems such as ILS, DVOR, CVOR, DME, TACAN and NDB. We also supply integrated control tower systems including control consoles, radio and telephone communications, VCCS and Met equipment, and Airfield Ground Lighting solutions ranging from PAPIs to complete CAT II and III installations.

Typically projects include civil works, antenna rigging, high voltage supply networks to remote airfield sites, Fibre Optic networks and LANs, cable trenching and construction of antenna and shelter foundations and grading of the ILS glidepath beam-forming areas.
Consultancy
Our consultancy services range from the system definition to equipment specification and design. We utilise sophisticated computer modelling techniques for surveying and site selection for navigational aids (including the prediction of ILS sensitive areas) plus the design and preparation of instrument approach procedures.

Maintenance/Support Services
We support a growing number of UK and worldwide customers. Services include both technical and spares support and the preparation of maintenance documentation to facilitate our customer’s submissions to licensing authorities. These services encompass the preparation of complex safety cases plus a range of engineering and technical support services.

Airfield Ground Lighting (AGL)
We are experienced in delivering Airfield Ground Lighting, ranging from small installations requiring just Precision Approach Path Indicators (PAPIs) for non-instrument runways to Category III airfield configurations at International airports. We have also designed and can supply a Portable Airfield Ground Lighting (PAGL) package for both civil and military use.

Our total Turnkey package includes design, supply and installation of equipment plus full control, monitoring and mimics display systems designed to meet the latest ICAO and UK CAA requirements. We can provide a bespoke system designed to individual airport needs.

Air Traffic Control Towers
Our expertise in this area has positioned Systems Interface at the forefront of ATC technology. We constantly update our approach to all activity areas to ensure compliance with Common Operation Performance Specifications.
Skilled in the latest techniques for voice control switching of ATC voice and data communications, we can also develop an integrated remote monitoring regime for ATC equipment, meteorological and AFTN flight strip printing and Flight Information Display Systems (FIDS), and manage the supply and commissioning of the varied systems needed in a modern control tower – from customised consoles to the most complex equipment.
Completed Projects include the supply, installation and system integration of fully fitted ATC control consoles, VHF/UHF radio communications and airport remote monitoring systems. Our background includes the supply and installation of noise monitoring systems, standby power supplies, multi channel recording, master clock systems, airfield lighting control/mimic panels, meteorological sensors and displays, integrated voice communication switches, airport PABX and AFTN equipment.
Radar
Systems Interface Limited has a wide range of specialist skills covering the supply, installation and commissioning of Approach Radar, ASMGCS, Ground Movement and VTMS installations worldwide and including the system integration of antenna systems, transceivers, plot extractors, scan converters, radar tracking, radar recording and display systems. We are currently working with Qinetic to supply the latest ADS-B technology.

Ground Support Equipment (GSE)
We have significant expertise in the supply, installation and commissioning of security and baggage handling equipment – from check-in desks, baggage conveyors and carousels, baggage and passenger security scanners to Flight Information Display Systems etc., together with a full range of airside ground support equipment.

Training
We have developed a series of courses aimed at personnel responsible for the operation, maintenance and management of both airport and aviation ground systems. Bespoke courses can be provided with students receiving appropriate certification. Additional training elements, which may fall within the competence of external authorities, may be submitted for external examination, leading to the award of recognised industry qualifications.
