A train transit information system, MIDOS, has been also integrated in the POP terminal.
The POP terminal works on the principle of real-time evaluation of a transport link problem using tariff dependence. This enables instant issuing of ticket on passenger demand.

The CASIO IT-3000 terminal which forms the core part of the POP terminal are backpacked with a contact-less chip card reader (Philips Mifare 1K, 4K abnd DesFire standards). A different hardware version with integrated bar code scanner is also available. The bar code scanner is integrated as a part of the chip card reader on the back of the POP terminal.

The POP terminal does not require the conductor to download all applications for every on-board duty performed by the conductor while he is on duty. The applications installed in all the terminals are the same irrespective of the models of the POP terminal. However, for implementation of a new application program or new data version is downloaded very quickly via IrDA interface integrated on each terminal from the data collection computer connected on-line to the central database system if tariff or timetable is changed.
