SubscribeMegadoor have recently supplied a hangar door for Ryanair at Skavsta Airport in Sweden.
Capable of housing one Boeing 737-800 and measuring 44x44m, Ryanair's hangar was built to the airline's specification with minimal clearance all round. Megadoor worked on the project in partnership with Costruct, an Anglo- Italian structural design and engineering company, which provides design and engineering solutions using Space Frame technology.
They chose Megadoor and CoStruct to provide an affordable, fast build structure with the capability of being modified and/or relocated, should this later become a requirement. The Megadoor comprises of 3 door sections with 2 swing-up mullions and measures 36.4x13/6.7 m (wxh).
