Not only since September 11th, 2001, we have an increasingly growing demand for security installations everywhere many people crowd together and depart from there into various directions. Airports, railway stations or underground stations, have unfortunately been targets of terrorist attacks in the past. Besides the danger of terrorism these places do also often bear the risk of other crimes, such as thefts, robberies and vandalism. The more these places are affected by such influences, the more there is a necessity for permanent control and surveillance.
Airport Control Room Large Screen Display Systems
Since airports and stations cover usually very large areas the only way for a reasonable control are video cameras backed up by emergency staff. Other areas like luggage control and the observation of security relevant integrated systems of the building are also tasks of the operators in the according control rooms.
The central element of this control installation is the large screen system in the central control room. The better this system works, the more reliability it guarantees and the more efficiency it provides, the better the control consequently can be.
But the control of airports and stations includes more than the mere observation of the building with CCTV cameras. Usually there is a wide range of signal sources that have to be taken into consideration for coherent control and security. LCD Monitors and Video Wall Displays

Precisely for this reason eyevis provides DLP™-based rear-projection modules which offer best picture quality combined with several features that make them fit for the reliable use in professional applications. These cubes from the latest EC generation are available with screen diagonals from 50” to 100” and with different resolution standards from XGA, SXGA to SXGA+ and even HDTV.
The modularity of the cubes allows setting up display walls of almost any size with minimal gaps between the adjacent cubes of less than 1mm. In addition to that, eyevis provides a range of LCD monitors in various sizes and display resolutions, including modular display units with narrow bezels for LCD-based video walls.
High-End Graphics Controllers and Large Screen Display Software
For efficient operation and connectivity of the system we have the netpix® graphics controller series, a range of high-end graphics controllers for any kind and size of control room. The netpix is the central device for incoming signal sources and is responsible for their display on the large screen wall. The controllers from the netpix® series are available with numerous inputs for video, RGB, data and network sources. The latest member of this product range is the NPX3x00-ISDB, a decoding card for IP streaming video signals. This card can decode the codex numerous IP streams simultaneously, so there is no need for extra decoding devices in your system.
Besides all other required hardware solutions including accessories such as cabling, converters and splitters, eyevis provides the most comfortable software solution for wall management on the market. The third version of our proprietarily developed eyecon software is considered to be the leading product on the market. In the course of 2008 the fourth generation of this successful software will be launched providing even more features, better handling an a more user-friendly GUI.
