PathQuest; the Way-Finding and Information Kiosk Solution will be installed at Hyderabad International Airport and Delhi Terminal 1 & 2 by end of October 2008.
The system will help the users to find their way around from Point A to Point B. The system developed by Gnostice Information Technologies is a state-of-the-art product that is needed at every airport across the world.
The Kiosk Solution apart from guiding travelers will also enable them to give feedback about the airport services & facilities. The Feedback reports are directly sent from the kiosks to the particular department or concerned authority thus making the Delhi and Hyderabad Airport users’ voice heard by the management. The whole feedback system is paperless, efficient, fast, user friendly and green.
Airport Information Kiosk - WayFinder
The system is capable of disseminating real time information on flight arrival & departure, information on tourism, city, transport, currency exchange rates and much more. This service is available on the kiosks in all major languages like Indian, European and English. The flyers at Delhi and Hyderabad could not have asked for more, as this is a complete information kiosk solution. It serves as an Information Dissemination, Path-Finding, and Feedback Tracking system.
Gnostice Information Technologies has developed this product keeping in mind the futuristic, self-service based customer service. The solution is ready to run out the box and any Airport can buy it off the shelf, install, and run the system with minimum effort. The facility Administrator just needs to configure the system with the desired type of information through the administrator console and the users would be able to see it on the kiosks and interact. It is that simple!
When asked the CEO, Mr. Girish Patil about the Product and competition, he said, “PathQuest is a highly customizable system modeled on an Open Modular Architecture with the configuration and management centralized. The configuration and control of information flow, integration with other systems to pull data and management of the facility map can all be done by the facility Administrator”. He feels that after an Airport Authority has seen it, there is no way he / she would be satisfied with any other product. Moreover there are hardly any such products available in the market, because most of them tend to be a project based Information kiosk solution meaning any change to the content of the system most times requires major redevelopment unlike in PathQuest, where it is just a simple task of updating changes through a user-friendly interface.
Information Kiosk's for Any Language
The same system could be used in any large facilities such as Hospitals, Bus-stands, Museums, Railway Stations, schools, colleges, etc to give out any static or dynamic information, to show directions, and to receive feedback. The orientation of each kiosk is also taken into consideration while displaying the map. Each kiosk could be set at a particular orientation so that the users would see the map exactly as their surroundings, also called Point of View Calibration. The whole system could be used in any language and the Administrator has options to configure more languages at a later date depending on the needs of the facility.
Gnostice Information Technologies is highly upbeat about the future of PathQuest and intends to make it a global standard for self-service Information and Way-finding.
