Background
Following a 15+ year working relationship with TBI Abertis and the EFS projects division, EFS were successful in winning a three year facilities management contract for the airport, which has now been extended.
In the UK, TBI Abertis own and operate the airports of Cardiff International, Belfast International and London Luton. Overseas they operate three airports in Bolivia, Stockholm Skavsta in Sweden and Orlando Sanford. At Orlando Sanford, USA, they operate the terminal complex on a long-term lease and management agreement. In addition to these airports, they also operate on behalf of government / local authority owners at five additional airports.
"EMCOR's expertise in the sector has played a key role in helping us deliver our key long-term objectives of reduced costs, simplification and rationalisation of support services.
"Over time, we have established a highly effective partnership with EMCOR's Facilities Division."
