Record breaking results for inter airport Europe 2005

Inter Airport Europe International Exhibition

After four successful days, the 15th inter airport Europe closed with excellent results.

The leading exhibition for airport equipment, technology and services took place again within the grounds of Munich International Airport. On a total area of 50,000 square metres, 563 exhibitors from 31 countries showed their products and services.

With well over 12,000 trade visitors, an increase of 5%, inter airport Europe 2005 was the largest such show ever. Exhibitors and visitors were overwhelmed by the high technical level and outstanding quality of the exhibition.

“We are delighted by the record breaking results of this year’s event. It reflects the favourable prospects for this industry and reinforces once again the position of inter airport as the leading trade exhibition for the airport industry worldwide. We want to congratulate our exhibitors and visitors for this success,” comments Nicola Hamann, Exhibition Director.

This year, sunny weather helped to underline the unique atmosphere of the show at the airport exhibition site of Munich International Airport.

Highlights were customised equipment for the A380, such as the big de-icer in the Outdoor Area, and brand-new systems for efficient passenger screening based on millimetre-wave and biometric technology as well as the latest in baggage handling facilities.

A great number of representatives for the international trade press as well as reporters for daily newspapers, radio and TV stations visited inter airport and backed up the event with good media coverage.

A first analysis of the exhibitors survey shows that an absolute majority were highly satisfied with the results of the exhibition and most of this year’s exhibitors are already planning their participation at the next inter airport Europe which will take place from 9 – 12 October 2007 at Munich International Airport.

Next year’s event in the inter airport series, inter airport China, will take place from 6-8 September 2006 in Beijing, at the China International Exhibition Centre.
