Exhibition Stands

New Name, New Venue

Established in 1990, we have out-grown our home in Maastricht and have moved the show to The RAI Conference & Congress Centre in Amsterdam, The Netherlands, 11-13 March 2008.   The move will make access to the show much easier. Schipol Airport has direct flights from over 250 destinations worldwide.

ExhibitionsPaula Milburn, Event Director, explains “Each year we look to identify new ways to bring the industry the definitive event that it demands. The exhibition had become restricted by the capacity of the halls in Maastricht and in order to provide an even more comprehensive industry showcase we needed the ability to provide existing exhibitors with additional space and to accommodate new exhibitors.
The relocation to Amsterdam not only enables us to achieve this goal but it also makes the whole event more accessible and convenient for visitors. This is clearly important as it will underpin future growth in attendance”

The RAI is a state-of-the-art exhibition centre with dedicated conference facilities, separate meeting areas and seven excellent restaurants and bars that are perfect for informal meetings and networking. It also has it’s own railway station; allowing you to reach the exhibition from airport in less than 15 minutes. The RAI is also very close to the centre of Amsterdam and most places can be reached by taxi, bus or indeed bike within a few minutes.

Increase regularity and reduce risk

The new venue has enabled us to increase the space available to exhibitors by 25%. 95% of the space is already sold. So attend the event in 2008 and you will be able to talk to more key suppliers than ever before. Many will be demonstrating technologies aimed at achieving the  higher levels of capacity and safety that the performance based ATM systems of the future demand. You will also find plenty to help you undertake your ATC activity more effectively and efficiently and will find out how technology can benefit your airport by increasing regularity and reducing risk.

CONFERENCE -Performance-based Global ATM

The ATM industry is entering a period of intense technical, cultural and institutional change as it moves towards a performance-based, “enabling” architecture, built around airborne technology capabilities and the fast-changing operational priorities of the airline community.

The ramifications of these changes are widespread and will:

  • Redefine the nature of service provision and regulation.
  • Accelerate the move to regional, rather than national, ATM services.
  • Introduce a host of new technologies and procedures aimed at generating higher performance levels of capacity and safety.

The ATC Global Conference will provide a unique forum for debate and will enable you and your colleagues to better understand the impact of performance-based air navigation services on all aviation stakeholders. Leading global decision makers, responsible for planning the implementation of this new generation of ATM architecture, will share their views; giving delegates an insight into a broad range of perspectives.

The interactive sessions have been designed to ensure that all delegates, whatever their location or role within ATM, will take away the latest information and pointers to the future, along with an enhanced appreciation of the issues affecting the demanding industry in which they work.

Nik Gowing- Conference Moderator

As an experienced international journalist & TV presenter, Nik Gowing is used to providing information in a measured and informed way. He has bought us reliable, trustworthy information in the immediate aftermath of many major crises including the 9/11 atrocities and the Tsunami on Boxing Day 2004.

Nik is also a distinguished conference chair / moderator. He will now bring that in-depth knowledge and experience to the ATC Global Conference. His objective is to shape the debate from a position of neutrality, facilitating interesting and lively discussion between the speakers and allowing delegates to understand the big issues and implications of their critical role in the new generation ATM architecture.

Benefits of Attending

“Performance-based ATM” is a common enough phrase but its interpretation varies widely.  Delegates will gain an invaluable understanding into how colleagues from service provision, regulation and aircraft operating sectors expect the global ATM system to evolve – in terms of timescales, technologies and institutional arrangements - ensuring they are prepared for current and future challenges.

The programme will highlight the following issues:

  • Developing highly effective ANSP operating systems to cope with the increasing demands of aircraft operating customers
  • Ensuring the new ATM system meets the expectations of aircraft operators
  • Implementing seamless, safe and secure change - how will regulators facilitate the development of trans-national ATM service provision?
  • Incorporating the demands of the military into future developments
  • Overcoming the conflicts of new-generation systems (e.g.  SESAR and NextGen)
  • Assessing the extent to which environmental issues will shape future ANS provision
  • Translating the lessons-learned from the implementation of new technologies and procedures into future processes
  • Considering the implications of the application of varying system concepts in differing geographical locations
