Aviation Engineering and Construction

Parsons

Parsons is particularly recognized for our ability to shape and manage the execution of large, complex programs on operating airports where detailed phasing, staging and scheduling is required to allow expedited prosecution of the construction work while minimizing operational impacts on the airport, the airlines, the tenants and—most importantly—the passengers.

Parsons' depth of understanding of the many interrelated elements of ongoing airport-airline operations, including FAA operating criteria and all airport-airline safety codes and practices, gives our aviation clients a strong sense of security and confidence.

The following pages provide more details on Parsons’ background and experience in aviation projects.

Relevant Experience

In the last 10 years Parsons Aviation has completed 25 major aviation programs and currently has more than 30 under contract. Our work on these contracts has included feasibility studies, planning, design, design management, construction management, program management, commissioning, and security master planning. Twenty-seven of our current contracts include program/construction management; four are scheduled to be completed this year. We have also completed six additional construction management contracts at airports where we have been awarded additional work and remain under contract.

Of these projects, only two—Inchon International Airport in Korea and the New Athens International Airport in Greece—are greenfield airports. All other construction management has been accomplished at operational airports, where we have been successful in directing construction in such a way as to minimize disruption of operations, while maintaining schedules and remaining within budget. Our volume of repeat business and the numerous client commendation letters we have received attest to our success. As an overview, we present the following tables.
