While the need to be able to compete with major design companies was predicted, Trident felt their extensive experience gained in both offshore and on-shore engineering and project management would enable the Company to form a solid client base.
Operating from their base in Porterfield Road, Renfrew only a short distance from Glasgow Airport – Trident provide an extensive range of design and management services for the Downstream Oil Market.

The Company’s Engineering Consultants are experienced, qualified engineers with the expertise and capability in these listed disciplines to turn any feasible client concept into a cost effective reality. The Principal Managers are well known and respected figures in the oil related and tanker terminal development industries, and are leaders in the field of Underground LPG Storage for Retail Sites.
In addition, the Company utilises state-of-the-art in-house CAD facilities and having recently adopted the latest Meridian 2003 software we can allow our clients direct secure access to their design drawings held on the companies’ internal servers.

The philosophy of the Company is one of cost effective approach without detracting from the quality of any project undertaken by Trident on behalf of a client.
The Management Team has been built up by the directors who are ably backed up by a staff of discipline engineers, quantity surveyors, drafting, computing and administrative staff. On top of these highly experienced and qualified personnel, the Company also has the resources to call on external personnel if need be. While these categories are the Company’s Primary Targets, Trident still maintain an open policy on further fields and diversification.
They have successfully completed contracts in Hong Kong, Tanzania, Uganda, Falkland Islands, Croatia, Ascension Island, Greece and France. The project in Hong Kong was particularly prestigious as it was the Hong Kong Port and Airport Development where Trident in a joint venture with a Hong Kong Consultancy designed the aviation fuel system incorporating jetties, pipelines, hydrant system and storage tanks.
As well as these projects Trident have also been associated with projects in the Ukraine, Montenegro, Latvia, Netherlands, Mauritania, and Saudi Arabia.
Trident have undertaken projects varying in value up to £10 million for companies which include Shell, BP, Q8, Chevron Texaco, Exxon Mobil, Total Fina ELF and Avin Oil.
