Certification helps the company to achieve goals and prepare for future growth whilst ensuring customer satisfaction.

Hand Held Products, leading manufacturer of image-based data collection solutions, today announced that all its locations in EMEA have been awarded full ISO 9001:2000 certification. After an intensive three month preparation process, Hand Held Products was able to prove that it conforms to every single aspect of the ISO standard during the audit in February 2007. The obtained certification reaffirms Hand Held Products' ability to deliver the highest level of quality and service to its customers.

After rapid growth in the past three years (the number of EMEA employees increased by 70%) the company formalized and documented existing processes in order to streamline operations. Now in addition to the headquarters and manufacturing facilities in USA - as well as the EMEA service and repair department which was certified already in June 2006 - all EMEA offices have achieved ISO 9001:2000 certification. Hand Held Products aims to have all its locations in the world ISO certified.

ISO Certification"Hand Held Products started the certification process in October last year," said Heidi Evenhuis, quality manager at Hand Held Products EMEA. "By the end of December we were ready for the external audit. The ISO 9001:2000 standard gives a structure to which we can conform to ensure consistent delivery of products and services. It also ensures that Hand Held Products delivers the highest level of quality and customer service across the organisation."

"Hand Held Products has always been focused on customer satisfaction, quality and a full solution around the products. This ISO certification confirms that. Also by clearly defining a traceable structure for reaching the company goals, the management team is able to guide the company through its continued growth, as well as create an environment for continuous improvement," added Roel Vreeburg, Managing Director for Hand Held Products International.
