ExecuJet Europe, one of the world's leading companies for aircraft sales and integrated services for business aviation, is now offering a full service FBO (fixed base operation) at the General Aviation Terminal at Berlin Schönefeld Airport.
Business Aircraft Refuelling Service
Following the inauguration of ExecuJet's Schönefeld facility 12 months ago, expansion of the services offered is now complete, coincident with a freshly signed partnership with Shell, now enabling ExecuJet to perform business aircraft refuelling. Training is completed, with staff now appropriately licensed to drive and operate the Shell fuel truck and refuelling equipment.
The progressive development of ExecuJet's business in Germany has seen its workforce at the Schönefeld facility expand from two to 18 inside a year. Andreas Cordes recently joined as ExecuJet Europe's General Manager Germany and Accountable Manager for the company's German AOC, which was awarded in May this year.
Other key management initiatives in Germany have seen Katharina Schönberger appointed as FBO Manager and Heiko Hoene becoming Ground Operations Manager.

Portable Water and Toilet Servicing
In addition to the company's initial Schönefeld FBO providing ramp parking; de-icing, assistance with immigration; customs clearance and security screening; luggage handling and laundry services, over the past six months the ExecuJet FBO facility has expanded to offer customers:
- Refuelling with its own dedicated refuelling truck
- Toilet servicing with its own toilet cart
- Portable water service with portable water cart
- Aircraft towing
- The introduction of ground to air communications with its own VHF radio - using frequency 131.435 Mhz.
- Customer and crew transport with a dedicated Mercedes Viano
ExecuJet also offers concierge services at Schönefeld, including all hotel and ground transportation arrangements, catering co-ordination and a comfortable passenger lounge with a number of meeting rooms. It also supports a dedicated lounge for pilots, where flight crew can prepare for upcoming flights and access weather information provided by Jeppesen.
VIP Lounge and Crew Facilities
Further enhancements are planned in the next few months to improve the layout of the VIP lounge and the crew facilities.

We have immense confidence in the development of aerospace in both Berlin and Germany and we have completed this work on time and to a high standard, well ahead of the closure of Berlin Tempelhof in October 2008. We are now in an extremely strong position to welcome organisations that will be moving to Schönefeld in the near future."
He paid tribute to the 'sterling work' accomplished by the team in Germany, led by Andreas Cordes and Katharina Schönberger and overseen by Graham Stephenson, ExecuJet Manager FBOs Europe.
Complementing LBAS activities in MRO
ExecuJet Europe's expanded FBO complements the services offered by Lufthansa Bombardier Aviation Services (LBAS) to Bombardier business jet operators based and operating in the region. ExecuJet Aviation Group purchased a 20% stake in Schönefeld-based LBAS last year - joining partners Lufthansa Technik AG and Bombardier Aerospace. LBAS is dedicated to providing maintenance, repair and overhaul of Bombardier aircraft based in Europe, the Middle East, Africa and CIS countries.
