SubscribeIan Mills, Director of Engineering and Commercial Services, has been appointed to the Board of NATS, the UK’s major provider of air traffic management.
Ian joined NATS four years ago and in his current position is responsible for the delivery of the company's long-term investment plan and for the engineering resources required to achieve it. He also oversees supply chain, business improvement, training and commercial development.
He said: "This is an exciting and challenging time for NATS and I'm grateful for the opportunity to play an even more active part in moving the company forward."
John Devaney, NATS' Chairman, said: "I am delighted to welcome Ian to the Board. Engineering is a key part of our business and vital to our future success. It's important this aspect is represented at Board level."
Ian becomes a Board member with immediate effect, joining existing executive directors Paul Barron, NATS Chief Executive; Lawrence Hoskins, NSL Chief Executive; Ian Hall, Operations Director and Nigel Fotherby, Finance Director. The NATS Board also includes representatives of the Government, the Airline Group and BAA, the company's major shareholders.
