The shop is in the most prominent location in the terminal, directly in front of passport control. It has been planned for 11 major international brands around a central area with a range of complimentary merchandise zones such as sunglasses, leather handbags, ties and other accessories. The brands taking the main spaces are Cartier, Bottega, Fendi, Bulgari, Shanghai Tang, Chloe, Tods, Hugo Boss, Dunhill and Coach.

The brief calls for a spectacular central space. The ceiling is an undulating collection of polycarbonate rods of differing lengths each lit with gently changing fiber optic lights. Premium areas are characterised by silver leaf layered into crystal glass used to display "it" bags, and "must have" accessories for the passenger at the sharp end of high fashion.

"This is a fantastic project to have won. Not only is it one of the most important sites in one of the best world airports but it is an opportunity to design a truly iconic environment surrounded by some of the world's finest brands" stated Robbie Gill, director for the project. "Having just completed 83 shops in Thailand's new Suvarnabhumi airport and the 12,000 sq m King Power's downtown shop, it is great to have such a spectacular project to follow."
