Guernsey Airport hosted the ALDIS User Group meeting between the 11th and 12th of May in their conference suite in the new terminal building.

Both the CAA and NATS attended and gave presentations at the meeting. An evening boat trip and dinner at the captain's table at the White House Hotel in Herm was appreciated by all.

Guernsey Airport have installed the newly developed E-boarding pass scanner which will initially be used for scanning Fly Be's E-boarding passes.


Exeter Airport have installed the credit FUEL system.


Blackpool Airport have ordered the CASH invoicing system along with the FUEL system for both credit and cash customers.


AIS has developed a new product that complies with the new 2D Barcode security regulations. The software exceeds the DFT requirements and checks the following:-

  • E-boarding pass is valid from airport
  • Correct day of flight
  • Valid flight number
  • Sequence number has not been used
  • Seat number has not been used
  • Door/Gate have not been closed
  • Flight has not been cancelled

The scanning software can be stand alone or integrated with AIS's AFIDS 2001 system.

A range of reports are available from the system.


Gloucestershire Airport have ordered the CASH invoicing system along with the FUEL system for both cash and credit customers.


Highlands and Islands have implemented target charging on all their ALDIS 2000 airport sites.


Coventry airport have installed both ALDIS 2000 and AFIDS 2001. These are running live on a Windows 2000 server.


The next ALDIS User Group will be held on the 16th and 17th November. The venue has not been decided yet.


AIS is involved in a number of international tenders and hopes to announce additional users of their products shortly.
