SubscribeSafegate has been awarded a contract to supply 31 new Type 2 Safedock docking systems for the Terminal 3 project at Singapore's Changi Airport.
This is the third project for Safegate at Changi and will bring the total number of docking systems installed to over 60 systems. The systems are due to be delivered during 2005 with a progressive installation and commissioning schedule. Safegate will be working closely with ShinMaywa (the boarding bridge manufacturer) and our local agent, TECCAM, in order to bring the project to a successful conclusion.
One new feature to be delivered is the boarding bridge interface that allows the boarding bridge to automatically dock with the aircraft on the basis of information received from the docking system. This interface has been successfully trialled at gate C1 during 2004.
