Universal Towbar
Towbars are an important part of the Cavotec Fladung range of airport support systems. They are capable of towing all types of aircraft and can be easily adapted to meet the requirements of the customer. The available tube lengths are; 3.510 mm, 4.430 mm and 6.885 mm. All towbars can be fitted optionally with a torsion adapter, a shock absorber and a pivoting towing eye.
The Universal Towbar is fitted as follows:

Mini Towbar
This towbar is specially designed for towing small aircraft of up to 2000 kg nosewheel weight (15% max takeoff weight). It features a steel tube with a height adjustable drawbar eye, an undercarriage with soft tyres and an overall length of just over 3.8 mm.
The towbar operates by placing the nose wheel support shell over the hydraulic cylinders which are operated either by handpumps or the oil pump of the aircraft. In case of the latter, a connection can be made through a quick action coupling. To enable better manoeuvring, the nose wheel support can also be moved axially.
