VNE introduce their fire training simulator for simulation of aircraft fires.
Scope of Delivery
- Simulator Structure
- Valve central, for control of fire scenarios
- Electrical control panel for control of:
- Pump, start - stop
- Ignition of pilot flame (remote controlled ignition)
- Interior lighting
- Emergency Stop
- Pump
- 3000l. Fuel tank
Fire Training Simulator Structure:
The steel structure consists of a 15m long and 2,9m diameter fuselage, with three legs, two wing sections (one fitted with a jet engine and one with a propeller engine) and a separate service staircase.
Aircraft Simulator Fuselage:
The fuselage is fitted with five external doors, two emergency exits and a mechanical ventilator. The emergency exits are places under the starboard wing and over the port wing. The internal flooring is done with a wall to wall checker (antiskid) plate, with draining towards the fuselage The cockpit section is separated from passenger section by a suitable interior wall with an entrance door.
Other Included Elements:
Cockpit with two seats- Forward passenger area with four rows of seating
- Overhead luggage compartments above seating
- Movable wood furnace
- Separate room for smoke generator with:
- Power supply
- External access
- Smoke distribution to cockpit and cabin.
Technical Data
| Length | 15m |
| Diameter | 2,9m |
| Plate Thickness (Shell Plates) | 6mm |
| Door Size | Ca. 1,8 x 0,8m |
| Emergency Door Size | Ca. 1 x 0,5m |
Aircraft Fire Scenarios:
There are eight separate fire scenarios, which separately can be ignited by remote controlled Propane pilot burners:
Wheel fire turboprop side- Turboprop engine fire (external both sides)
- Fuselage fire
- Wheel fire jet side
- Under wing fire jet side (running fuel)
- Jet engine internal, rotor
- Jet engine, mantle
All fire scenarios are generated by pressure kerosene through nozzles.
VNE Aircraft Fire Training Simulators
VNE is an engineering company located in Os, Norway. The company operates as a fully integrated supplier of aircraft fire training simulators and advanced special equipment for the navy and general mechanical industry. VNE takes care of the total process form initial planning , through manufacturing and testing, till installation, commissioning and training of Operators for the equipment we supply.
VNE was established in 1989 and has since then worked partly as a supplier of engineering services, and partly as a supplier of equipment, where manufacturing is done by our subcontractors. The key personnel of VNE has many years of experience in development to different types of customers.
VNE is about to finish the delivery of 10 Aircraft Fire Training Simulators to AVINOR airports in Norway. This is an advanced simulator for use in training airport personnel.
