Rugged Large Displays

Barco’s rugged flat panel displays (from 7” to 28”) feature a variety of electronic, optical, environmental and video processing options and have been tested to meet MIL-standard environmental specifications. The flat panels feature Barco’s proprietary LCD Flicker Compensation solution that corrects the annoying LCD flicker, when updating images with high contrast and high density. Furthermore, the displays are available with a unique Automatic Phase Adjust functionality, eliminating all image artifacts, such as pixel noise. Thanks to their rugged design and front bonded optical stack, Barco’s flat panel displays succeed in combining excellent optical performance with high-standing environmental qualifications.

Barco further offers a full range of video mixing and graphics processing products (both PCI and VME) that allow displaying real-time graphics, radar and video data in a Windows environment. The product family provides exceptional flexibility and capability in digitally mixing high-resolution graphics, video and radar into a single RGB output, without degrading graphics performance.

Dedicated solutions for vetronics applications include the BARCO VECTOR® family of rugged LCDs and the ALTIUM series of multi-functional rugged computers. The BARCO VECTOR® family of rugged LCD panels, control modules and HMI development tools, combines video camera input with standard text On-Screen Display, as well as graphics overlay created by a powerful Symbol Generator. The ALTIUM series of multi-functional rugged computers bundles modularity, connectivity and performance into a MIL-tailored computing solution for battlefield digitization.
