“We are pleased that the eXaminer 3DX-ES has joined the recently approved eXaminer SX and eXaminer XLB in achieving EU Standard 3 CEP approval,” said Thomas M. Ripp, president of L-3 Security & Detection Systems. “Built on the proven eXaminer 3DX, this enhanced speed system inspects more than 750 bags per hour and is a low-risk, cost-effective solution to higher-speed explosives detection for checked baggage screening.”
Since 1998, L-3 SDS has used medical-grade imaging technology developed for aviation security with an understanding of the complex demands faced by airport personnel and regulatory agencies around the globe. More than 1,000 eXaminer systems have been procured by airports domestically and internationally and are supported by L-3’s world-class service organization.
