CanJet Airlines Chooses ARINC to Comply with Canada's New Border Security Requirements
Category: Automated Border Control | 15/06/2012 - 02:59:24
CanJet Airlines, Canada’s largest full-service charter airline, has chosen the ARINC Electronic BordersTM portfolio of solutions to meet new Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) Advanced Passenger Information (API) and Passenger Name Record (PNR) reporting requirements. The new proprietary reporting guidelines were created by CBSA in response to privacy and data quality concerns.
CanJet selected ARINC to implement a turnkey solution that would comply with CBSA’s new Data Acquisition Solution (DAS) guidelines. CanJet and its host provider Navitaire do not have to modify their existing operations, as ARINC will perform the required message format and communications protocol conversion to meet CBSA’s new guidelines. CanJet evaluated several service providers and selected ARINC based on technical expertise, ability to meet CBSA schedules, and cost efficiency.
“ARINC’s performance in the CBSA project has facilitated CanJet’s decision to select them as our ‘go-to’ border security solutions provider,” said Rick Grandy, Manager of IT Infrastructure for CanJet. “CanJet will be also working with ARINC to evaluate border security solutions at its Latin American, Caribbean, and (soon) European operational sites.”

The complete portfolio utilizes ARINC’s expertise in aviation, government, surface and maritime transportation, information technology, and systems integration to deliver the most efficient, cost-effective solutions possible.
