Aircraft Passenger Steps
Falcon Aviation offer a range of aircraft passenger steps to suit a variety of usage requirements. The wealth of experience behind the team at Falcon Aviation means that they know what to look for when buying passenger steps and can therefore advise customers as to the most suitable product for customers needs.
The aircraft passenger steps are the first and last thing a passenger will experience of their flight. If they have concerns about the steps when boarding the plane then they are unlikely to feel positive about their flight! This has the potential to damage their perception of the airline as a whole. Conversely, high quality, secure stairs can instil a feeling of confidence and allow the passenger to feel more at ease.
Aircraft Boarding Stairs
Aircraft boarding stairs have many features to ensure their consistently safe use. Firstly the stairs utilise innovative hydraulic technology to allow the use of front and rear stabilisers. These stabilisers allow the stairs to remain rigid and safe no matter what weather conditions prevail. The platform at the top of the stairs features height adjustability to ensure the stairs connect exactly with the door of the aircraft. Safety devices also ensure the aircraft will receive no damage when the stairs are docking with it.
For ease of use the steps can be either self propelled, truck mounted or towable. The towable stairs being the simplest and are less likely to require much in the way of servicing but will require other ground support vehicles to manoeuvre it into place. Self propelled stairs combine compact dimensions with easy mobility. Truck mounted stairs generally offer vehicle commonality with other truck mounted GSE and better stability when in position against an aircraft.
Airplane Access
Falcon Aviation also supplies boarding equipment for passengers that are unable to use stairs. The aim of this equipment is to allow disabled passengers to embark safely and with dignity. Invalid airplane access equipment, or PRM (Passenger with Reduced Mobility) can be expensive and in many cases, only used occasionally. This can mean that this sort of equipment may end up being replaced even though it has only had fairly light use. With this in mind, Falcon Aviation provide an operation lease system in which customers can use equipment without having to suffer high purchase costs. This service can release some of the financial burden of running a fleet ground support equipment.
